Dermaplane

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes a straight-edge surgical blade or scalpel at a 45-degree angle to exfoliate the surface of the skin (dead skin cells) and remove unwanted vellus hair (aka peach fuzz) from the epidermis.

Contraindications:

• Current or recent use of isotretinoin therapy (Accutane®)
• Active, pustular or inflamed acne
• Extreme laxity
• Verruca planae (flat warts)
• Active herpetic (cold sore) outbreak
• Subtype 2 rosacea
• History of keloid scarring or raised scars
• Sunburn, windburn or broken skin
• Allergy to nickel
• Radiation or chemotherapy treatments
• Blood thinning medications
• Uncontrolled diabetes
